Helping St. Louis Seniors
Live privately and safely

When providing services for the older adult, one of the key components is continuity and we strive to match the senior with a caregiver who will develop a rapport with them so that they may work together for common goals. When someone is entering your home, you need to feel comfortable and safe and we are sensitive to that fact. Background checks are run on all caregivers provided for you or your loved one.

Some of the services that H.E.L.P.S. may assist you or your loved one with are:

  •  Personal Care
  •  Transportation
  • Nutritional Needs
  •  Respite Care
  • Light Cleaning
  •  Companionship
  • Shopping
  • Medication Management
  • Laundry
  • Home Management Issues
  • Socialization
  • Money Management Issues
  • Filing Insurance Claims
  • Escort to Physician Appointments*

                                          And.....whatever is important to you!!!

We have worked with families in all stages of need and want to promote as much independence as possible in that situation, while providing the support that you desire. You may only need a little bit of assistance or you may be receiving the services of Hospice, and we will be available as your need dictates or the situation changes. When we work with families, we have many “customers” and try to make sure they are all satisfied!

While we are not attorneys, we understand the importance of making sure that all of your legal affairs are in order and we can review with you and your family the minimum, necessary documents that are recommended for us as we age. We work with many attorneys that can help you prepare a Power of Attorney, an Advanced Healthcare Directive or a Living Trust or will, based on your individual needs.

H.E.L.P.S. is here to help you.....

  •  remain at home
  • make informed choices
  • prevent premature nursing home placement
  • be as independent as you can be
  • receive the dignity you deserve!!!

Call us to see if we can help you with your situation.  We have had experience with various Dementias, ALS, depression, pulmonary issues, Cancer treatments, pain management, Durable Medical Equipment, hoarding, fall prevention and hip fractures, various therapies, housing options, Medicaid eligibility including Division of Assets, and even helping seniors close down and sell their home.

We can discuss with you various payment options, and provide sliding scale fees in some cases. Our goal and mission is to keep you in the situation that best suits you and your family, so let H.E.L.P.S. help you find the solution that is right for you!

**When taking someone to the doctor’s office, we encourage them to have a list ready to ask the doctor questions, a list of medications prescribed by all physicians and any over-the-counter medications taken so that the doctor may review the list at each visit. We help the patient clarify any orders that the doctor may give, we then take notes and review them when returning home, so that the patient has every opportunity to remain compliant with the orders recommended by their physician. We encourage follow up visits and help you remember the appointment dates.
